Effective 18 October 2026
The short version
We only ask for what we need to answer you, keep your place on a list, or run a study circle. We do not sell what you share, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not use analytics cookies. If you want something changed or removed, write to [email protected] and a person will take care of it.
What we collect, and why
- Waitlists and founding places. When you join a list (such as the Illumisachi waitlist or a founding place), we keep your email address, your name if you choose to give it, which list you joined, and the page you joined from. We use it to write to you when that thing opens, and for nothing else. Each list is kept separately.
- Requests for an audience. When you write to us through the site, we keep your email, your name if given, and your message, so we can reply. A note to us does not put you on any mailing list.
- Starting a study circle. If you start a circle, we keep the circle's name, language, place and rhythm, and the Conductor's name and email. Once the house approves a circle, its name, language, place, rhythm and current chapter can be shown publicly. The Conductor's name and email are never shown on the site.
- Circle reports. Conductors can send short reports (a title and a few paragraphs). The house reviews them, and the ones we publish appear in the Journal and on the circle's page. Please leave other people's private details out of a report.
- The Conductor's key. Each circle gets a private link to its Conductor's desk. We store only a scrambled (hashed) form of the key, so we cannot read it back. Keep the link safe: anyone holding it can post for the circle.
- A little technical detail. With each sign-up we record the date and your browser's user-agent (a short line describing the browser and device), to spot automated spam and limit repeat sign-ups.
Where it is kept
The site is hosted on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the ordinary request information every visit carries, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. The details you send us are stored in a database run by Supabase, which only the site's own server can reach.
Who else is involved
- Resend sends our email: the short confirmation you receive after signing up, and the note that tells the house you wrote. If you join a list, your email and name are also kept in our Resend mailing list so we can write to you later. Requests for an audience are never added to it.
- Lulu prints and sells the book. The order button on the Study page is provided by Lulu, and when you buy, you are buying from Lulu. Your payment and shipping details go to Lulu under Lulu's own privacy policy; we never see your card.
- Google Fonts and cdnjs deliver the site's typefaces and one animation library, so your browser fetches those files from them directly.
That is the whole list. We do not share your details with anyone else, and we never sell them.
Cookies and local storage
We do not set tracking or advertising cookies. The site remembers a couple of reading preferences in your own browser's local storage, such as light or dark mode and whether the reading lamp is on. These stay on your device, are never sent to us, and you can clear them any time in your browser settings. The audio on the site plays from our own files and records nothing.
How long we keep it
We keep list sign-ups until you ask us to stop writing, and circle details for as long as the circle is active. You can ask us to delete everything at any point.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to [email protected] from the address you used, tell us what you would like, and we will answer personally. If the place you live gives you particular privacy rights, we will respect them.
Children
MOORSACHI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us their details, write to us and we will delete them.
Changes
If what we collect or how we use it changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
